Clinical Hypnotherapist in Eugene, Oregon, author of As the Waters Cover the Sea and Rape of Innocence, teacher, speaker, healer, Patricia Robinett is comfortable wearing many hats. She has always been curious about a variety of subjects, loves a mystery, and consequently asks a lot of probing questions into every area of life.

Patricia is the author of two published books with several more in the works. She is an award-winning visual artist who now designs books and websites for herself and others. She invented an ingenious, technical tool that accurately measures the complex geometry of an astrological chart with a companion workbook. She has written numerous published magazine articles. As a clinical hypnotherapist, she has functioned as a past lives therapist for over 18 years. She has led study groups on metaphysics for the same amount of time.

The Rape of Innocence

In 2006 Patricia wrote, designed and published a partial autobiography focusing on a subject few are aware of: female genital mutilation in the USA. Since that time she has met other women who were also circumcised as children in the USA.

Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance covered clitoridectomies until 1977 and female genital cutting was finally outlawed in the USA in 1996. Some still push the practice as a cosmetic surgery.

It is an unflattering chapter in our country's history that many would rather ignore. Patricia is certain that someday we will wake up out of our collective trance and see male circumcision with the same horror and disbelief that we currently reserve for female circumcision. On that day, boys too will at last be protected from this form of socially-sanctioned sexual abuse.

The AstroTemplate and AstroLiteracy

In 1988, Patricia invented a tool for astrologers. The AstroTemplate allows astrologers to find valuable geometric patterns in the chart so they can integrate ancient East Indian and Mesopotamian techniques into their work.
